KettleQueen began for our kids. We wanted to teach them to "Find the Angle in Life" and show them what faith and hustle could build. We had no money to get started, so we put the equipment on an interest-free credit card. God provided, and we kept going, rain or shine.
More than 17 years later, our kids have grown and moved into lives of their own. As David and I have gotten older, KettleQueen has grown with us. What began for our children is becoming a way to share something we love: our travels.
Our trip to India for our daughter's destination wedding helped inspire Chaat Masala. Boom brings a bold three-pepper blend to the lineup. These flavors bring a little of our travels back to the kettle.
Today, we're shaping KettleQueen around those flavors and experiences, with a growing focus on hospitality and California wineries. The heart is still the same: family, faith, hustle, and something delicious to share.

Northern California & Bay Area Operations
Luis leads KettleQueen’s Northern California and Bay Area presence, overseeing events, operations, and customer experience across the region. From setup to service, he helps ensure each location delivers the polished presentation, fresh quality, and dependable execution that define the KettleQueen brand.
The Kettle Knight
Operations & Logistics Coordinator
David helps oversee KettleQueen’s event logistics and operational support, assisting with setup, workflow, and on-site execution. His attention to detail and steady support help ensure events are delivered with consistency, efficiency, and a professional guest experience.
The Queen
Founder & Creative Visionary
Socorro Mercado brings an entrepreneur's experience and a personal love of hospitality to KettleQueen. Her business background includes owning a trucking company, a legal services business and a water store—experiences that shaped her practical approach to operations, customer care and building lasting relationships.
A USC alumna, Socorro also holds real estate broker licenses in California and Arizona. At KettleQueen, she brings that business background together with family, creativity and the flavors discovered through travel, creating thoughtful experiences for guests and the communities she serves.
